I'm a senior, my weapon of choice is pen and ink or watercolor, and am a total nerd. If I'm not reading or playing soccer, I'm probably drawing.

Hey! I’m a senior at RCHS. My preferred medium is photography, but I love trying all mediums. I’m a total geek for music and art, and maybe some shows too, and I’m so pumped to be here.

I'm a junior this year. I am a self-proclaimed nerd and the ceramics room is my favorite place in the entire school. I love spending my free time reading, baking, organizing, and learning.

Hello there, I am Faith and I am a senior this year. I love photography and graphic design; the best is when I get to combine both into a project.

Hello! My name is Hannah Schutz and I have been teaching at Rock Canyon High School since 2013. I grew up in Lakewood Colorado where I attended Green Mountain High School and found my passion for ceramics. I continued my education at Colorado State University where I had the chance to explore multiple art mediums including metal-smithing, drawing and painting, sculpture, digital art, and ceramics. After four years I received a bachelors degree in Art and a license in k-12 education. I am excited to be back in the ceramics classroom teaching students and helping guide them through their creative adventures!I hope to provide a safe, comfortable, and exciting environment for students to take risks and seek their inner artist!

I was born and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, a suburb of Detroit.  After graduating from high school I headed west to the University of Wyoming where I received an art degree with a concentration in advertising. I moved to Denver and landed my first job as an art director for a screen-printing company.  A few years later I went to work for an advertising firm designing magazines, logos, and various other printed material.  I had always thought about teaching art since both parents were educators, so I decided to go back to school and earn another degree in art education from Metropolitan State College. After completing my student teaching assignments in the Cherry Creek School District I took a teaching position in Casper, Wyoming.  I taught elementary, junior high and high school visual arts for 12 years. While in Casper I earned my MA degree from Lesley University in art education and I decided to move back to the Denver area to take a teaching position with Douglas County High School.  At DCHS I taught drawing and painting, graphic design, ceramics and sculpture for 6 years.  I’m starting my 7th year at Rock Canyon High School, a school where I have really enjoyed teaching. While at RCHS I have taught sculpture, AP sculpture, ceramics, graphic design, drawing and painting and AP drawing and painting. Also I was the Boys JV tennis coach for 3 years. When I’m not teaching you can find me on the slopes down hill skiing and in the warmer months I’ll be playing golf and tennis.  Throughout the year I can be fixing up houses and with any luck I can get in a few trips in and out of the country. But I’m always creating some kind of art, it being anything from pastels, oils, watercolors, stone or bronze sculptures.
